About Dave
Dave and his wife of 33 years, Julie, live in Sandy Utah. They are the parents of eleven children, and fifteen grand children. Julie now spends her time as a Registered Nurse at Primary Children’s Medical Center and teaches nursing at the Salt Lake Community College. Dave and Julie are life long members and have actively served in their church.
Dave has been a businessman the past thirty-five years in the Salt Lake Area. He has spent several years with the family Honda Motorcycle business and as general manager of Perry’s Postal & Print.
Dave has also served nine years on the Chamber of Commerce with six of those as a Board of Directors member.
His Degree is in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design. He spent three years as a structural steel designer and has taught drafting at the Salt Lake Community College.
Dave and Julie’s interest in ancient Mayan history took them to Central America to study under Dr. Joseph L. Allen. They served as founding board members of the Book of Mormon Archaeological Foundation.
The start of his political career came in the late 1970’s when he was approached to help with the incorporation of the Town of Draper. Following incorporation he served on several ordinance and Master Plan committees to assemble ordinances for the brand new city. He then served three years on the Planning and Zoning Commission of which he chaired the last year. His next step in government was to serve on the City Council for two years.
In 2006 David was the Director of the Salt Lake County Constitution Party and served as a National delegate. In the same year he also ran for the Utah 2nd District U.S. Congressional seat. In 2007 he was elected to Vice Chair of the State Constitution Party and now in 2008 David is campaigning for the Utah House District 45 (Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, and Sandy) seat.
David believes the constitution is hanging by a thread and it is time to stand up for what the founding fathers stood for. He pledges to do all he can to help repair the fabric of the constitution and restore freedom by acknowledging God, defending the family, and working to restore the American Republic.
